Italian Essentials: Wine & Entertaining with Victor Rallo7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Join restaurateur, wine connoisseur, and television personality Vic Rallo along with friend and fellow wine expert, Anthony Verdoni, as they discuss their favorite Italian Wines and how best to enjoy and entertain with them. Sample rosé, white and red wines, an assortment of authentic Dearborn antipasti & cheeses, and purchase their brand new book, 21 Wines. Vic Rallo, owner of Basil T’s Restaurant in Red Bank & Undici Taverna in Rumson, is author of two books on Italian wine & travel, and in July will host Eat! Drink! Italy! with Vic Rallo on public television.

Kokedama String Gardens5:30 pm – 7:00 pm
Get insight into the latest gardening trend! Create your own Kokedama String Garden (Japanese moss ball) inspired by Netherland designer Fedor Van der Valk. Kokedama is the practice of removing a root system from its container, surrounding it in a compact mud cake wrapped in moss and twined together with string. Hang them in your home or outdoor patio for a truly unique and one-of-a-kind plant. The best part is that they are easy to make and replicate on your own!

Inspired by recipes in Andrew Carmellini’s book, Urban Italian, we will touch upon some delicious and simple dishes that will become appetizer staples at your next get together or holiday. Our favorite: Sheep’s Milk Ricotta with truffle honey and burnt orange toast.
