Belgian-Style Whole Grain Waffles

Ingredients
2 cups white whole grain flour
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
2 1/4 cups Planet Oat Barista Lovers Oatmilk, at room temperature
2 eggs, at room temperature
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted, cooled
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Assorted fresh berries
Vanilla whole milk Greek yogurt
Maple syrup
ground cinnamon
Directions
- Preheat a Belgian-style waffle iron according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Preheat the oven to 250 degrees F.
- Add flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon and salt to a large mixing bowl. Whisk well.In a separate bowl, whisk together the Planet Oat Barista Lovers Oatmilk, eggs, butter and vanilla until well combined.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until combined.
- Brush the waffle maker with neutral oil. Add a scoop of batter to the waffle iron. Follow the directions for your waffle maker for amount of batter to add – most waffle irons will call for between 1/2 to 1 cup of batter per waffle. Close the waffle iron and cook waffles until crisp and golden brown. Most waffle makers will cook a waffle in 3-5 minutes; adjust according to instructions for your waffle maker.
- To keep waffles warm, place cooked waffles on a wire rack set on top of a baking sheet in the preheated oven while the rest of the waffles are made.
- Top waffles with fresh berries, a dollop of vanilla Greek yogurt, a drizzle of maple syrup and a sprinkle of cinnamon, if desired.
- Serve.
