Ingredients
1 cup Mott’s® Applesauce Apple
2 cups All-Purpose Flour
2 tbs Baking Powder
1 tsp Kosher Salt
1/4 tsp Allspice, ground
1 1/2 tsp Cracked Black Pepper
1 tsp Cinnamon, ground
1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
4 tbs Unsalted Butter, melted
2 Eggs, large
1 cup Buttermilk
Directions

1. Preheat griddle.

 

2. Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, allspice, pepper, cinnamon, and sugar together in a medium bowl.

 

3. In another medium bowl, whisk together melted butter, egg, buttermilk, and applesauce.

 

4. Combine applesauce mixture and flour mixture.

 

5. Pour batter in ½-cup portions onto griddle.

 

6. Cook until golden brown on one side, then flip to cook the other side until golden brown.

 

7. Serve hot with warm maple syrup.
